Polkadot's referendum No. 32, adding 2 validators (from 297 to 299), is currently failing (https://polkadot.subscan.io/referenda/32). However, you may have noticed that more DOTs voted in favor of the bill than against it. Kusama's 130th referendum, to upgrade Statemine to runtime v3, is currently in a state of passing, and there is still the last day of voting!

Parity releases Polkadot version 0.9.9-1, which is a high priority. This release resolves a controversial bug found in v0.9.9. If you have already upgraded node to v0.9.9, upgrading to v0.9.9-1 should resolve these issues. https://github.com/paritytech/polkadot/releases/tag/v0.9.9-1
NOTE: This release and v0.9.9 introduce changes to the database format. If you upgrade from v0.9.8 to v0.9.9-1, you will not be able to roll back without restoring the chain data from backup or resyncing.
Remember to add the addresses of scam sites you find to https://polkadot.js.org/phishing/. These sites and addresses are automatically blocked when using the Polkadot-JS extension.
