On August 23, Opside officially announced that the three-month Pre-alpha incentivized test network came to a successful conclusion, and Opside entered the Alpha test network. Since its opening on May 24, the Pre-alpha testnet has welcomed enthusiastic participation from community users, PoS nodes, PoW miners, project parties and developers.
This article will share the results achieved by the Opside Pre-alpha incentivized test network, and also announce the relevant instructions for the smooth transition from the Pre-alpha test network to the Alpha test network, as well as the redemption rules for the points earned by each ecological role during the test network.
1. Market performance
Opside Pre-alpha Testnet period, the number of ordinary users participating reached 450,000, the transaction volume reached 13,580,057, the number of PoS nodes reached 16,883, and the number of PoW miners reached 88. In terms of ecology, there were more than 100 high-quality projects that applied to participate in the test network. In the end, 14 were screened and generated exclusive zkEVM application chains with one click through Opside LaunchBase. All of them are currently running stably.
The number of Opside Twitter users reached 83K, with a 3-month growth rate of 836%. The number of active users in the Opside Discord community reached 96K, with a 3-month growth rate of 1631%.
2. Technological breakthrough
2.1 ZK-Rollup LaunchBase
Opsides purpose is to make ZK-Rollup more friendly and popular, thereby making it possible to implement large-scale application chains based on zkEVM. For this reason, Opside proposed the ZK-RaaS (ZK-Rollup as a Service) service as early as July 2022, which allows developers to deploy their own ZK-Rollup (zkEVM application chain) based on multiple L1s. need.
In mid-August, Opside officially conducted a major overhaul of ZKRollup Launchbase.renew, Rollup L1 main chain option newly supports ETH/BSC/Polygon test network, and provides a variety of DA / shared sequencer and other modular components. In addition, Rollup LaunchBase also supports adding a variety of Infra as a Service options for project parties to make initial choices, including Dex as a Service, Oracle as a Service, NFTmarket as a Service, DID as a Service, etc. The options include iZUMi, Star Protocol , Space ID, Supraoracle, etc.
2.2 Native Cross-rollup Communication
Opside launchesNCRC protocolIt also realizes instant communication across Rollups. It does not add an additional third-party bridge to each Rollup, but transforms the ZK-Rollups own bridge (native bridge) at the system level. This approach is more concise and thorough, not only inheriting the absolute security of native bridge, but also avoiding the system complexity and trust cost brought by third-party bridge.
2.3 Multi-chain ZK-PoW protocol and ZKP two-step submission algorithm
The multi-chain ZK-PoW protocol allows miners to provide ZKP computing power for ZK-Rollup on multiple L1s such as Ethereum and BNB Chain.
Opsides newly proposed ZKP two-step submission algorithm makes ZKP generation 50% more efficient than the previous version. In a multi-miner scenario, the calculation of ZKP is shortened to less than one minute, greatly speeding up the confirmation time of ZK-Rollup. .
3. Community ecological empowerment
3.1 Exclusive zkEVM application chain
As the demand for exclusive ZK-Rollup increases in various segmented tracks, Opside proposes solutions that not only solve the pain points of the project side, but also continuously expand its boundaries. So far, 15 exclusive zkEVM applications have been deployed on the Opside platform and have received active participation from users.
ReadON, as a well-known content distribution platform in the industry, generated its own ZK-Rollup, bridge and browser within 10 minutes through Opside ZK-Rollup LaunchBase in the early days, and used its own Native Token as the Gas Fee of ZK-Rollup Token.
3.2 Ecological cooperation
The large-scale development of ZKRollup is naturally inseparable from ecological construction. During the test network, Opside cooperated with project parties and actively listened to their voices. Up to now, Opside has established deep partnerships with nearly 50 outstanding projects in the industry, including well-known projects such as OKX, Galxe, Space ID, SupraOracles, ReadON, Port 3, Relation, etc.
3.3 Global participation
The success of the Opside Pre-alpha test network is inseparable from the support of 450,000 users from more than 60 countries and regions around the world. All community participants, including ordinary users, PoS nodes, PoW Miners, developers and project parties, have expanded Opsides globalization process.

4. Points redemption Alpha testnet instructions
In addition to reviewing the results of the Pre-alpha Testnet, the official also made the following explanation regarding the arrangements of the Alpha Testnet and the automatic conversion rules of the Pre-alpha Testnet points that the community is concerned about:
4.1 Pre-alpha testnet points automatic conversion rules (for Validators Miners)
Validators
The system will automatically redeem the corresponding points based on the number of testnet IDEs produced by each Validator through PoS during the Pre-alpha testnet period. The exchange ratio is 35 IDE: 1 point.
For example: Alice runs a node smoothly and the number of testnet IDEs she produced during the Pre-alpha testnet period is 3,500, then she will receive 100 points. Scores will be automatically converted by the system and displayed on the latest official website Leaderboardbe displayed on the website and available for review by verifiers.
Miners
Miners will automatically redeem and obtain corresponding points based on the number of proofs submitted by the address during the Pre-alpha test network. The redemption ratio is 1 Proof: 2 points.
For example: Bobs Miner address submitted 1024 Proofs during the Pre-alpha test network, so the points he will receive are 2048 points. Scores will be automatically converted by the system and displayed on the latest official website Leaderboardbe displayed and made available to miners for review.
(*Please note that the above conversion rules only apply to the Opside Pre-alpha testnet phase.)
Currently, Opside’s loyalty points will be the only certificate for redeeming mainnet Tokens in the future. The specific exchange ratio will be announced at an appropriate time in the future.
4.2 Alpha testnet
As Opside officials informed the community a few weeks ago, for Validators and Miners, the Opside Pre-alpha test network will smoothly transition to the Alpha test network. Validators and Miners do not need any more operations, and all operations after the Opside Pre-alpha test network will be smooth. Proof generated and submitted will be immediately counted as alpha testnet rewards.
The Opside team expects to launch a new round of Alpha testnet activities in early September, which will be open to global users without any threshold. Alpha testnet activities will be presented in a new presentation format with additional rewards.
The Opside team will provide a new Leaderboard on the official website. At that time, all users, including validators and miners, can view the historical points acquisition status of the current connection address, the Alpha test network ranking, and additional rewards.
It is worth mentioning that Opside will soon work with Space ID to release the .Opside domain name, and users who have registered and obtained the domain name will be able to display it on the Leaderboard.
