Original source:We are happy to share here,You can now retrieve data from Filecoin and IPFS using a simple retrieval client called "Lassie".
Lassie makes it easy to fetch data from the Filecoin and IPFS networks - it will find and fetch content through the best existing retrieval protocols. Due to the diversity of data transfer protocols in the IPFS ecosystem, Lassie is currently able to use both Graphsync or Bitswap protocols, depending on how the requested data is obtained. In the future, Lassie may be able to support more data transfer protocols.
```javascript
lassie fetch < your CID here >
```
For end users and clients, this means that content-addressed data (using CIDs) can be easily retrieved from Filecoin or IPFS using the Lassie client without running their own IPFS nodes or Filecoin nodes. Just download the Lassie binary and start retrieving data with simple commands.
The following video provides an overview of how Lassie was created and an in-depth look at the application of Lassie in distributed gateways.
