The first is the Polkadot and Kusama network slot Auction. Polkadot’s 31st slot Auction has been opened, and Ajuna Network is currently the highest bidder; the decentralized storage network Crust Shadow won Kusama’s 57th parachain slot Auction. 58 slot Auctions have been opened.
Last week, Bill, Head of Technical Education and Grants at the Web 3 Foundation, hosted an online Twitter space AMA with Snowfork to discuss Snowbridge's long-term funding proposal. The proposal includes a request for a 2-year value runway (1 year retroactive, 1 year ahead) for all Snowbridge team operations, with the goal of serving as a public interest bridge on Kusama and Polkadot.Snowfork is one of the longest-running teams contributing to the Polkadot ecosystem, and Snowbridge is a completely trustless, permissionless, and universal bridge between the Polkadot network and Ethereum
. The opening of this bridge will not only allow ETH to be transferred from Ethereum to Polkadot, but also allow ERC 20 assets and arbitrary data to be transferred to Polkadot.
In addition, the bridge can also be used for more complex interactions, such as cross-chain smart contract calls, such as any application built on Polkadot can use the bridge to send Dai directly from an account to the Ethereum block Another account on the chain.
In contrast to centralized bridges, trustless interactions are enforced by the technology or incentives behind the system, not by promises or legal agreements. Although there are already some active Ethereum bridges in the Polkadot ecosystem, these bridges have compromised Polkadot's security and trust model.Therefore, trustless bridges are particularly important, and the trustless support of the Ethereum ecosystem for Polkadot assets is also of great significance.。

The Polkadot 77 referendum is being voted through! The referendum proposes approval of Chainsafe’s treasury proposal to fund the development of Gossamer. Gossamer is a Polkadot Host implementation written in Go.
Polkadot 80 referendum is underway! The referendum provides "sufficiency" for USDT on Statemint. "Sufficient" means that the asset can be used directly for transaction fees without requiring the associated Statemint account to deposit DOT (as a transaction fee).
The Polkadot 81 referendum is being voted on! This referendum aims to launch the collective parachain as a public welfare parachain!
The Polkadot council voted to pass Motion 280 to provide treasury funds for Sequester and develop a platform for detecting carbon indicators for the Polkadot ecosystem.
The Polkadot Council voted Motion 281, approving the Polkascan Foundation’s treasury proposal to cover the continued development and maintenance of the Python library between July 2022 and September 2022.
The Polkadot Council voted to pass Motion 283, which aims to fix the wrong parameters of the 74th referendum, and in addition to the original 5 HRMP channel requests, it also added the HRMP channel of the sixth parachain ParaId 2030 (Bifrost) and Statemint. At present, Motion 283 has been transferred to referendum 82 for community voting.
The Polkadot Council is voting on Motion 284! The proposal was proposed by OnFinality. After its Kusama proposal was successfully approved, OnFinality's follow-up proposal aims to apply for the maintenance cost of high-performance public infrastructure in the third quarter of 2022 for Polkadot, Statemint and Westend.
In addition, there are some treasury bills waiting to be discussed, including:
A follow-up proposal from the Polkadot Ecological Research Institute, covering operating costs from September 2022 to February 2023. A proposal by LimeChain to create a framework for building Go runtimes. This will provide an easy-to-use API to create and combine consensus, block production, and other useful modules for building parachains.
Snowfork's treasury proposal to continue development of a fully trustless, permissionless and universal bridge between Kusama, Polkadot and Ethereum.
FUDGE's treasury proposal: a core library for native integration testing in Substrate. This proposal aims to provide a simple and versatile way to interact and operate with databases based on Substrate blockchains. A proposal from Parity developer Kian on how to use the tipping process to incentivize the creation of high-quality nomination pools.
Pinknode’s treasury proposal aims to cover the cost of providing Polkadot, Statemint, and Westend with free, easy-to-use shared node API endpoints for the past 3 quarters.
Crust Shadow Wins Kusama's 57th Slots Auction! The 58th Slot Auction has been opened and there are currently no active Crowdloans.
Kusama 239 referendum has been voted on! This referendum proposes to upgrade the Kusama runtime to v 9300.
Kusama 240 referendum is being voted on! This motion aims to open an HRMP channel between Statemine and Picasso! Note that Joe Petrowski (W 3F's Common Goods Parachain Lead) commented that this referendum has misconfigured parameters and will not function correctly.
The Kusama Council voted Motion 562, approving a store for creating decentralized DAO merchandise on Kusama! We are also looking forward to purchasing real world assets using Decentralized Commerce KILT KYC.
The Kusama Council voted to pass Motion 563, which aims to cover the development costs of the BrightTreasury platform to update the Kusama governance 2.0 changes.

Polkadot Ambassadors come up with a proposal seeking funding for the creation of Polkadot Forms. This is a series of forms and tests in English and Spanish that allow the community to learn and test their knowledge of Polkadot in a dynamic manner over the course of three months. Polkadot Hub proposes a new bounty proposal to create a mechanism for community-created Spanish content and activity through which content can be moderated quickly and efficiently. The purpose of this bounty is to reward the community of content creators for their efforts in creating content in Spanish and to ensure that the content created is of quality and meets the needs of the ecosystem.
Community developer Julia has republished a proposal for a case study on Powers of Attorney in the Polkadot ecosystem, expanding its scope and focusing on providing a legal framework for lawmakers and professionals within the Swiss and EU judicial systems to inform upcoming privacy-preserving technologies and preparation, as well as specific solutions and guidelines for government authorities.
