Polkadot Dynamics
Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum, tweeted that Ethereum has now officially merged and said that this is an important moment for the Ethereum ecosystem
. In addition, Ethereum researchers also said that the merger will reduce global electricity consumption by 0.2%.
This merger means that Ethereum has officially transitioned from a proof-of-work (PoW) mechanism to a proof-of-stake (PoS) mechanism.
Regarding the merger of Ethereum, Polkadot co-founder Robert shared his views in an interview with CoinDesk, "It is still very early in the encryption field, especially in the technical field.
