The Polkadot Pioneer Prize announced a sponsorship of US$750,000 for the competition unit set up by Manta Network in the zero-knowledge proof development competition ZPrize to help advance the development of zero-knowledge proof technology. The "Polkadot Pioneer Award" was initiated by Polkadot and is dedicated to solving the challenges in the Polkadot ecology and Web3. The total bonus is DOT worth 20 million US dollars.
Manta Network recently jointly launched the ZPrize competition with 21 industry-leading companies and institutions, and will provide a prize of 7 million US dollars to accelerate the adoption of zero-knowledge proof technology in the blockchain industry. ZPrize is inspired by the well-known XPrize. The purpose of ZPrize is to use these funds to accelerate the development of zero-knowledge proof in the blockchain industry, and to achieve a higher level of zero-knowledge proof application in the blockchain industry through new algorithms and technologies.
At the same time, Manta Network will jointly set up a challenge award with the Polkadot Pioneer Award, dedicated to solving multivariable multiplication (MSM), which is also an important part of zero-knowledge computing. The award will focus on maximizing throughput/minimizing latency on clients and virtual machines, specifically WebAssembly (WASM) runtimes.
