With ENS, we no longer need to enter a long list of hard-to-remember and error-prone addresses when we transfer money to another address in the future, but only need to enter an easy-to-remember letter combination, such as a long list of
0x329909A567b87b6123462c3062e8438BBB75c2c6 maps to abcd.eth. We don't need to enter this string of characters to transfer money to this address, but only need to enter abcd.eth.
ENS has developed very rapidly since its birth, and has developed from a simple Ethereum address mapping to support the mapping of Internet IP addresses, which means that the ENS domain name can also be used as the domain name of our Internet website.
The services provided by ENS can be said to be the most basic services in Ethereum and even the entire blockchain ecosystem in the future. It is no exaggeration to say that everyone who will be active in the Ethereum ecosystem will have at least one ENS domain name in the future. I think its use frequency and breadth will be higher and wider than Internet domain names. Maybe it was moved by his down-to-earth attitude, or maybe it was because I secretly thought this project was interesting, so after the meeting, I applied for a lot of ENS domain names and got them till now.
To be honest, when I applied for these domain names, I didn't think about whether these domain names could be sold for a lot of money. I just thought it was fun, and it was not expensive anyway, so I just applied for a few.
After that, my attention to ENS was only to glance at the relevant news occasionally. It was only in recent months that I began to feel that the current ENS is no longer the immature face I saw two years ago. It has become an ether An indispensable basic component in the Fang ecology.
In terms of the current status of ENS, it can be said that it basically has no competitors in the entire Ethereum ecosystem, or even the entire blockchain ecosystem. Although other public chains and service organizations have also launched similar services, their status is still far behind that of ENS.
