Hi, I'm Mary Ma, Co-Founder of MixMarvel, and I'm very excited to give the opening speech.

There are a lot of activities in Hong Kong recently. As soon as I arrived in Hong Kong yesterday, I felt the enthusiasm of the whole city. In the past few years, Web3 entrepreneurs may have been more active in cities such as Los Angeles, New York, and London; this year, with the release of favorable policies in Hong Kong, Web3 builders have shifted their positions to Hong Kong, and the trend of "rising in the east and falling in the west" is becoming more and more found out.

Today is also MixMarvel's 6th birthday party. From its establishment in 2017 to the present, we have spent 6 springs and autumns with you. There are also many important news released this year. I hope you can support us a lot.

Let me first introduce our team, we are moving from Web2 to Web3. The core team members of MixMarvel come from traditional Web2 game companies such as Ubisoft, Tencent, and Shanda. They have more than ten years of experience in the industry and have also participated in the design of well-known national games, such as "Assassin's Creed". We established our own mobile game studio in 2012, and the first game was released in 85 countries around the world, and ranked first in 61 countries and regions, and won the 2012 German Cologne Game Award and Tokyo Game Show and other games Industry awards. The fire of "Crypto Kitties" in 2017 also showed us the development prospects of blockchain games, and the whole team began to shift their focus to the Web3 market.

At the beginning of 2018, we released the first chain game "HyperDragons" on Ethereum; in only half a year, the total number of users and daily activities of "HyperDragons" surpassed that of "Crypto Kitties", becoming the top chain game 1. Later, other public chains such as Ontology were launched and became popular games. In 2019, we released "HyperSnakes", which is the world's first multiplayer real-time competitive blockchain game. Two weeks after its launch, it ranked first in the three chains of Ethereum, Ontology and Tron. In 2020, we released "DEHERO" on the BSC chain, ranking second among all chain games on DappRadar.

In the past few years, at the content level, we have been committed to self-development and self-development, and then we have done a lot of incubation and distribution work. I will focus on the game incubation and distribution.

Some of MixMarvel’s previous partners were listed game companies in Asia (China, Japan and South Korea). Although they are very optimistic about Web3 games and want to enter this market, they face many difficult problems and often ask three soul questions: Where to go put? What channel do you cooperate with? What chain to choose? The three questions of the soul basically cut off more than half of the practitioners of Web2 games. Therefore, we decided to lower the barriers for traditional game developers to enter Web3 games through our efforts.

In terms of chain game publishing and distribution, we have cooperated with MetaPace, MetaBridge, and mono.fun, covering nearly 300 million users in more than 200 channels around the world, and can help Web3 games easily acquire customers.

We have also incubated a set of future-oriented virtual world-oriented blockchain infrastructure Rangers Protocol, which integrates cross-chain protocols, NFT protocols, and EVM protocols to achieve multi-chain contract-level interoperability within the EVM system. Frequency interaction can greatly improve game efficiency and player experience. We have also developed the MixMarvel SDK, which can help developers to release their own blockchain games in a fool-proof way, lowering the barriers to market entry. We also incubated some games, such as "MetaCene", "BallHunter" and "ATTA". There are also a series of large-scale games being incubated, which may be available to you this year.

In terms of investment, we have invested with our own funds since 2020. In 2022, we established a MixMarvel DAO Venture, which mainly provides financial support and consulting services for high-quality Web3 builders. Polkastarter Labs, HashKey, GTA Ventures and Hash Global is our investor. We have established a new fund in Singapore this year, and we are negotiating with several institutions recently. Having said so much, in fact, we are very optimistic about the development prospects of Web3 games, and hope to help the builders of this track to make progress together. MixMarvel will continue to cultivate in the field of chain games.

At the very beginning of my speech, I mentioned a key word "rise in the east and fall in the west". This trend may be more obvious in the field of games.

The data shows that the global game market in 2022 will be US$197 billion, and the Asian market will reach US$82 billion, accounting for 42%; there are 3.2 billion gamers in the world, and Asia will account for 1.6 billion, accounting for 50%. There is also an upward trend.

From the perspective of Web3, there are 128 million users in Asia, accounting for more than 40% of the global Web3 users; there are mainly five Web3 centers in Asia: South Korea, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam. There is no doubt that Asia's influence in the world is gradually expanding.

The next topic I want to talk about is that Web3 games are becoming more and more mature. With the maturity of the entire industry, web3 games have also achieved great development, mainly in the following dimensions:

One is talent. In the early days, the entire Web3 game design and engineering talents were scarce. Later, some second-line talent teams joined in. Now there are a considerable number of top Web2 designers and producers.

The second is capital. In 2017, the market value of GameFi as a whole was less than US$480 million. After several years of development, it will reach US$40.9 billion by the end of 2021.

The third is content diversity. Early chain games were mainly leisure, such as card games, gambling, and NFT skins, etc. Now there are various types, many hardcore games, and many ways to play.

The fourth is barriers to entry. Early chain games had to log in with a private key, or use a non-custodial wallet, which was not friendly to many players outside the circle, especially some Play-to-Earn games required players to buy NFT first, which was costly. The current blockchain game also supports traditional Web2 mailbox login, and provides a simple fiat currency entry.

Speaking of entry barriers, I have to mention the MixMarvel SDK we developed. Through MPC multi-party computing wallet cooperation, players can save the cumbersome address registration and private key storage, and just choose email to log in; in the game, players can also directly exchange tokens, supporting more than 200 legal currency payments.
