The project application for the second season of Pomelo has been opened, and the matching pool fund scale is much larger than that of the first season. The EOS Network Foundation supports a matching pool of 888,888 US dollars, an increase of 77% compared with the first season.

Pomelo is a crowdfunding platform that multiplies your contribution. Pomelo is inspired by Gitcoin, and every contribution will be matched in a matching pool funded by the EOS Network Foundation. Through the magical secondary financing algorithm, projects with more donor support will be matched with more funds from the matching pool.
In other words, everyone can participate, as long as your project is a public good.
If you are not very familiar with the definition of "public goods", here I can explain to you that public goods must meet two characteristics at the same time:

Pomelo hopes to create a more open and efficient collaborative environment in the EOS ecosystem. We encourage and motivate developers to build some core components that can be reused by others in the community, rather than in a closed environment like before Build products or applications in.
In Pomelo Season 2, our team will be putting a major effort into reachability and Sybil resistance. Specific measures include:

The NFT collectibles in Grant Collectibles represent the projects that performed well in the previous season, and the collection cards they generated recorded the donations and donations received in the matching pool in the first season.

We want to help the community make the best decisions, and we want to provide the community with more, more comprehensive, and more accurate information. Therefore, we will also try our best to improve the transparency of the donation process, including tracking the progress of the project, etc.
We will also find ways to pool the power of the community and work together. For example, we will have various filters, so that those projects with the highest voices will appear on the project homepage, so that more users can see them, and so on.
In addition, a large part of our responsibility is to ensure that the rules will not be broken. Just like the sybil attack I mentioned in the sharing just now, our team is also closely monitoring each project to prevent fraud/bribery and other behaviors.
