"Moonbeam Ecology Talk" is a community AMA event organized by the Moonbeam Chinese Lover Community and the Moonbeam Chinese Senior Ambassador. This event provides project parties who have deployed Moonriver or Moonbeam with project information to introduce themselves in the mainstream Moonbeam unofficial Chinese community, including: project introduction, team introduction, technical advantages, etc., to help Moonbeam enthusiasts in the community quickly understand the active High-quality projects within the Moonbeam ecosystem.

This issue of Moonbeam Ecology is jointly organized by Linear Finance and Moonbeam Chinese Community to gain an in-depth understanding of Linear Finance and Chaotic Finance.

Tracy:Hello Moonbeam lovers! I'm Tracy, Moonbeam's Chinese marketing ambassador. I've been a fan of the Moonbeam ecosystem for a long time, and I'm honored to be the host of today's AMA.

Today, we’ll learn more about the Linear Finance team from our guest Kevin Tai (Project Lead at Linear Finance and Chaotic Finance).

First, please briefly introduce yourself and Linear Finance, and Chaotic Finance, a community-driven Delta-One asset protocol on Moonriver. Also, what is the difference between Linear Finance and Chaotic Finance?

Kevin:Hello everyone, I am Kevin Tai and I am the project leader of Linear Finance and Chaotic Finance.

Linear Finance is a cross-chain compatible (Ethereum and BSC), decentralized synthetic asset protocol that allows users to obtain synthetic functions of various assets, including digital assets, commodities and market indices.

Chaotic Finance is the team's integration on the Kusama network via Moonriver. The main difference between the two is that Chaotic allows users to trade with up to four times leverage. Chaotic’s synthetic assets all allow perpetual trading, meaning users will be able to trade long and short positions.

$CHAOS is Chaotic's native utility token and plays a key role in the following two dApps: Chaotic Exchange and Chaotic Buildr. Users can get $CHAOS in Solarbeam's WMOVR/CHAOS pool:https://t.co/uHEYcl7cR2

Here is an infographic about the main differences between the two:

Linear Finance is deployed on BSC and Ethereum, providing spot and perpetual contract transactions, no leverage, 19 types of assets available for trading, and the governance Token is LINA; Chaotic Finance is currently only deployed on Moonriver, specializing in perpetual contract transactions, It supports up to 4 times leverage, at least 10 types of assets are available for trading, and the governance Token is CHAOS.

Tracy: As an asset protocol, what do you think of the multi-chain deployment strategy? Why did you decide to deploy Chaotic Finance on Moonriver?

Kevin:Initially we knew we wanted to build on Kusama and Polkadot, the question was which parachain to choose? After some research, the answer was obvious: Moonriver and Moonbeam.

Given that Linear was originally deployed on the Ethereum network, Ethereum compatibility was a key factor in our decision. But I think the most important thing is that we believe in the team behind Moonriver and Moonbeam. Without a doubt, they both have one of the most active ecosystems on their respective relay chains.

Tracy: Chaotic Finance launched on Moonriver at the end of February. Can you introduce Chaotic's ecosystem? Like Chaotic Exchange, Chaotic Buildr, and cUSD?

Kevin:certainly. As you mentioned, we currently have two dApps deployed: Chaotic Buildr and Chaotic Exchange. On Chaotic Buildr, users can stake their $CHAOS (the protocol’s native utility token) as well as mint cUSD (our stablecoin). Users can use their cUSD to trade up to four times leveraged long and short positions on Chaotic Exchange.

The above is just a very brief description of how the protocol and ecosystem work. If you want to delve deeper into the Chaotic ecosystem, take a look atthis tutorial

Going forward, we are also exploring potential partners to set up a cUSD/WMOVR incentive pool to ensure we attract liquidity and allow LPs to stake theirs. More information on this will be announced shortly.

Tracy: Compared with other centralized leverage platforms, what are the unique advantages of Chaotic Finance?

Kevin:In the Chaotic Finance roadmap, we created Chaotic DAO. This will allow $CHAOS holders to help shape the future of the protocol. Compared with other centralized leverage platforms, we believe this is the unique advantage Chaotic Finance has.

Whether it is determining key parameters such as leverage levels, or listing the hottest new tokens in the market, Chaotic DAO will allow users to discuss specific proposals and vote on whether to pass them.

Tracy: What are you looking forward to seeing in the Moonriver and Moonbeam ecosystem?

Kevin:First of all, we would like to congratulate Moonbeam for successfully listing Polkadot at the beginning of this year!

We look forward to continued development of both the Moonriver and Moonbeam ecosystems. As more projects join these two networks, interoperability of use cases and applications between the protocols will become imperative. This only increases the attractiveness of the ecosystem for new users who may tire of the high gas fees or unreliability of other networks.

Tracy: Where can users get the latest information on Chaotic Finance? Will there be any future events?

Kevin:andTwitterandTelegramBoth are the best ways to get the latest information from Chaotic. Also, if you have any questions, you can also go to ourDiscord, there's a bunch of great admins there who will be happy to answer. For in-depth tutorials or articles, check out ourMedium

At the same time, we are also preparing various activities, which will be announced in the near future. The next event will be the Meme Contest where the most "chaotic" meme will win some $CHAOS rewards!

Tracy: Can you explain LinearVault to us? How does the process work and how does it provide passive income to all users? I can see that we can earn 3 tokens here, $LUSD, $LINA and $BUSD?

Kevin:certainly! Linear Vault is an additional method by which users can earn passive income on Linear Finance. There are two ways: the first is that users can deposit $LUSD on the Linear Vault and earn $BUSD or $LUSD; the second is that users who provide liquidity to the LUSD/BUSD pool on Pancakeswap can use it on the Linear Vault Top up their LP Token and get LINA Token as a reward.

Tracy: What do you think is the key point for a Linear to attract users? What will you do accordingly to build your own developer ecosystem?

Kevin:I believe we have a lot of key points in terms of how to attract new users. I think one of the things is that we're always building and expanding, whether it's developing on new networks like Moonriver and Moonbeam, or developing new features like DAO, onboarding, dark night/mobile mode to improve Linear's current users experience. On this basis, we will pass some marketing activities such as giveaways, competitions, and AMAs. We believe that we will be able to maintain a growing trend in the next few years.

Tracy: Can you tell us about the transition to the DAO structure? Will Linear be fully decentralized? What decisions can a DAO make?

Kevin:Linear DAO has been launched to the market in early February this year, and has received good responses from the community so far. previous user inLinear DAO ForumThere were active discussions on important updates to the protocol and issues related to the launch. As of now, the liquidity of listing SOL and MATIC has been approved, and will be launched on Linear Exchange soon.

Tracy: Will both Linear Finance and Chaotic Finance be deployed on Moonbeam and Moonriver?

Kevin:That's right, Chaotic is Linear's integration on Moonriver. The next challenge for our team is to build Athos, the integration of Linear on Moonbeam, which is currently in the deployment stage, you can find it at the following linkMore about Athos

Tracy: I would like to know why you chose to re-develop a project on Moonriver instead of deploying Linear Finance directly on Moonriver? Does the name Chaotic Finance have any special meaning? What's the Difference Between Linear and Chaotic?

Kevin: We hope that the integrated project on Moonriver can represent the adventurous spirit and rapid development of Kusama itself, so we came up with the name Chaotic. But it’s not just the name, the fact that users can trade with four times leverage, it seems very “chaotic” to us that they can go long or short!

In terms of difference, it can be said that Linear focuses on more conservative traders. Linear does not trade with leverage, but users have a wider variety of synthetic assets to trade, including top cryptocurrencies, indices, and commodities.

Tracy: Is it possible to realize cross-chain synthetic assets from Linear to Chaotic?

Kevin:So far, we have not provided the function of cross-chain synthetic assets from Linear to Chaotic. This will involve building another transition bridge, which I'm sure we'll be implementing in the near future.

Tracy: Can you explain the token economic model of the project? What is the initial supply of Token? And how many tokens will be locked?

Kevin:articlearticle

Tracy: Why did you create two protocols (Linear Finance and Chaotic Finance) with similar functions?

Kevin:While the two protocols have similar features, there are certain nuances that differ, such as different asset classes and leverage levels. Also, the two protocols are deployed in different ecosystems, so we are reaching new users and other protocols in the ecosystem. Finally, we established a reward mechanism to attract more Linear users to participate in Chaotic and get rewards!

Tracy: At present, the popular NFT is what everyone is concerned about. Is there any plan to integrate NFT projects?

Kevin:NFTs, Metaverse, and GameFi are still hot topics in crypto today. We're exploring how Linear and Chaotic can be a part of that. We are currently working on enabling users to trade exposure to NFT items through the new index. Please stay tuned!

Tracy: How to buy your Token? And what wallets are currently supported?

Kevin: Linear (LINA) is currently listed on many exchanges, and you can easily find LINA on major exchanges. For Chaotic, it is currently only available on Solarbeam, but we will be constantly looking for opportunities to increase liquidity and hope to find other AMMs to list Chaotic Token on!
