EOS development status

Hello everyone, thank you very much for participating in the EOS Network Foundation online meetup event. It is a great honor for me to share with you all the work that the new EOS Network Foundation has done in the past two months.

I do not deny that it is important to analyze the failures of the past few years in combination with the background of the past, but it is more important to sum up experience, set goals, and find a path for the sustainable development of EOS ecology.

I don't want to talk about any sugar-coated bullets. To be honest, the current development of EOS can be said to be quite a failure. The market cap and token value have been declining for the past three years or so.

Faced with the damaged EOS reputation, many EOS holders were disappointed and gradually gave up holding EOS. At present, EOS is indeed a failure.

The original intention of creating the EOS Network Foundation

Since stepping down as CEO of EOS Nation, I have had the opportunity to take a step back and reflect deeply on our journey and how we got to where we are today. I am well aware that EOS is a victim of its own success.

EOS’s token sale broke all previous records for funds raised. Because of the unprecedented amount of funds raised, everyone has placed unprecedented high expectations on EOS, and EOS has to meet various extremely high expectations.

A large part of the success of the EOS token sale is due to the commitment of Block.one. I agree with most token holders on and off EOS: this is an intentional misrepresentation of their own capabilities by Block.one, which is both an act of negligence and fraud.

EOS is now in a state where no matter what it does, it will be weighed down by the failure of Block.one. Clearly, Block.one is pretending it can add value to EOS as a means of quelling any potential outcry.

In fact, it basically doesn't want to contribute anymore, and their EOS is not so much an asset as a liability. It's a legal responsibility, a media responsibility, and an overall financial responsibility.

This does not mean that Block.one insiders do not want to add value, but that Block.one is not focused on the development of EOS.

Block.one shareholders are not the same as EOS token holders and we find ourselves being dragged down by an entity that is not on our side

What we are going through is a metamorphosis stage, that is, the process of EOS becoming independent from Block.one. Before completing the transformation, Block.one will continue to ride on EOS.

Before this transformation officially took place, EOS and Block.one were running side by side, and EOS belonged to Block.one, so when Block.one was fraudulent; by analogy, EOS was also fraudulent.

For people in the EOS ecosystem, they have long acquiesced to this view and reached a consensus that they are fraudulent.

Block.one is negligent and exaggerated. Breaking this situation requires the emergence of a leader and a new foundation. Therefore, this also leads to a clear division, that is, EOS is not equivalent to Block.one.

Before that, all our efforts within the EOS ecosystem were in vain. What Block.one needs to do now is to agree and support this plan: because we have already helped them make up the chess pieces and make the next move, they just need to push the boat along. They should realize that we are better suited for these operations.

Reasons for creating the new EOS Network Foundation

When I decided to start the EOS Network Foundation in August, my mindset was that the EOS community needed to figure things out for itself, and that in the future EOS should regain leadership in the larger blockchain ecosystem.

In fact, the performance of our own software is very good, but few people realize this, and EOS often just works silently in its own small world.

EOS was quickly labeled as centralized by competitors, and this worked for them as it led to further decentralization of the network, resulting in network failure conditions, as a means of attacking EOS.

In the early stages, the internal structure of EOS was chaotic. Our key problem is not decentralization, but the lack of centralization, doing things that only centralized entities can support the sustainable development of EOS ecology.

Most blockchains have established their own foundations, and EOS is the only blockchain ecology with a valuable foundation but no foundation.

The EOS Network Foundation created at this time contains infinite vitality, making EOS extremely efficient, focused and decisive in its capital deployment and vision creation.

Development Advantages of EOS Network Foundation

With the lessons learned from the past, the EOS Network Foundation is lucky. At least when discussing how to build a harmonious EOS ecological community, we can learn lessons and sum up experience.

The EOS Network Foundation has developed the funding and momentum that can be used to expand and accelerate these advantages.

In the past two months, the EOS Network Foundation has repositioned administratively, legally, technically and financially to avoid repeating the same mistakes.

The correct positioning has enabled the EOS ecosystem to embark on a bright road again, making great strides to catch up with other blockchain ecosystems.

The foundation empowers EOS developers, enterprises and individuals to facilitate their flexible operation of EOS.

The EOS Network Foundation is expected to regain investor confidence. The Foundation is building strong partnerships with key leaders and media (like those at the conference) to strengthen relationships between developers, businesses and individuals in order to reposition EOS as the first choice for blockchain investors environment. The EOS Network Foundation also places great emphasis on attracting investors.

EOS Network Foundation Vision/Mission

In the past two months, the EOS Network Foundation has repositioned itself, clarified its mission, and formulated a development roadmap so that every stakeholder can find their place in this vision.

Since the token sale, EOS lacks a clear mission and vision, that is, there is no valuable white paper, yellow paper, or strategic guideline.

These are extremely important to how EOS achieves its goals and engages developers, businesses, individuals and investors as they provide direction and set out how we plan to achieve these goals and what stakeholder ownership kind of location.

It is difficult for people to have hope for the future development of things without a vision and a roadmap, which also leads to people only being bystanders instead of formally joining the EOS ecosystem. All they can do is make up their own brains, and we've seen that this can lead to confusion.

The EOS Network Foundation attaches great importance to this issue, and actively discusses with various stakeholders to determine the vision of EOS. As I mentioned before, the EOS Network Foundation is lucky.

Among them, one project I admire is ConsenSys from Ethereum, and the EOS Network Foundation is modeling some of its pillars to build public infrastructure products that everyone can use. As pillars, we will list four "blue books", which will constitute the overall roadmap of EOS in detail and broadly.

EOS Network Foundation Blueprint/Pillars

I want to take the time to talk in depth so you can better understand exactly what the pillars I'm referring to are.

We currently have four pillars; the four working groups that are being formed will be formally announced next week.

They will lay the foundation for the technology roadmap of EOS. The final names of these working groups are still undecided, tentatively called Audit+, Wallet+, Docu+ and API+. They are teams and individuals appointed by the EOS Network Foundation.

The "blue book" here refers to the organic combination of white paper, yellow paper, effective proposal and blueprint in the traditional sense. Its goal is to publish four papers by the Chinese New Year in 2022.

About EOSIO in my opinion

It is worth noting that we can no longer rely on Block.one to support and guide the development of EOSIO as far as the roadmap is concerned. They have lost all key developers and have transitioned from a blockchain development company to an asset management company. The EOS Network Foundation inevitably needs to manage the EOSIO codebase.

However, we're not going to do it the old Block.one way. Because they only focused on their own products and the functions required for operations, but not our needs.

Whenever EOS token holders need features or priorities that conflict with theirs, the issue is never resolved, and since EOS token holders are not shareholders of Block.one, the two sides always have different starting points.

One of the manifestations of this is that although there are many and talented Chinese developers, there is still no Chinese developer who can have their PR merged by Block.one.

The EOS Network Foundation is moving towards a model very similar to Ethereum, where we have multiple core development teams. The EOS Network Foundation will act as the coordinator and allocator of funds for the overall development function.

In addition, the foundation will encourage the formation of multiple core development teams to optimize the code base necessary for the EOSIO network. This will greatly promote the organic combination of EOS ecology and develop the EOS family instead of operating in isolation, so as to promote the development of EOS ecology.

The EOS Network Foundation, like other blockchain foundations, outlines a clear vision and a clear roadmap for the ecology.

The priority of this requirement has been emphasized very early, and action has already been launched.

Go all out and work hard

We need to recognize that we are now behind. Over the past three years, EOS has missed many leads. What the EOS Network Foundation is currently doing is catching up.

When the EOS Network Foundation was first established, we quickly realized that the foundation did not yet have the ability to operate vertically. Working vertically here means working on one project at a time, project by project.

The horizontal mode of operation chosen by the foundation, that is, working on multiple projects at the same time, with multiple priorities going on at the same time, is like the mode of operation of a multi-core multi-threaded CPU. The EOS Network Foundation is advancing at an unprecedented speed.

The message I want to convey to everyone is that the EOS Network Foundation regards the EOS network as the most important business and is running it with all its might.

About capital allocation

In terms of funding, the EOS Network Foundation will continue to support other projects in the EOS ecosystem through funding, as it has done in the past few weeks.

For example, our $100,000 recognition grant program has produced quantifiable positive results. Over $3 million in investments has been made or is about to go to EOS-loving teams in our ecosystem.

In addition to this, the EOS Network Foundation contributed approximately $2 million to the development and first iteration of Eden, which held its first election in October.

I'm very happy with these results so far. I follow all the grants closely and see the great potential in each one.

I am very happy to see that China also created the first Eden (Garden of Eden) of EOS, and I have seen many people working towards this goal. So I warmly welcome everyone to join us. Once the project begins receiving funding, the EOS Network Foundation promises to provide financial support.

But this is just the beginning, as we need to formalize the funding framework to drive more frequent and larger investments in EOS. The Foundation has reached preliminary agreements with venture capitalists and discussed investing in EOS with an additional capital of $150-200 million. Please think carefully.

About rebranding EOS

Looking at the past few years, EOS has been relatively poor in branding and marketing. We have discussed some of the reasons before. Therefore, the EOS Network Foundation puts brand promotion and marketing as the top priority and invested a lot of resources in the early stage. I am very happy to share with you the unswerving efforts of the EOS Network Foundation.

By playing the role of the communication platform of the EOS Network Foundation, EOS now has all the conditions required for effective internal and external marketing.

This work is so critical that we have hired the best and brightest experts in the field to build EOS branding and marketing. I believe that looking back at today in a few months time, we will see the intuitive performance of brand value in EOS token price.

secondary title

About the appreciation of EOS tokens

Having said that, what excites me the most is that I believe the EOS token has a huge advantage over other tokens. Experts and scholars who do technical analysis agree with this point of view.

EOS has not appreciated from the growth in overall market size. It lags behind other cryptocurrencies largely due to reasons such as its own development and brand building. This provides huge profit opportunities for EOS ecological internal builders and investors who want to invest in EOS. I realize that the process is still a lot of work and the transition will take some time.

epilogue

epilogue

In this public speech today, my attitude has always been firm and purposeful. As the leader of the EOS Network Foundation, I will lead the community to realize the unlimited potential of EOS.

My vision is bold, and not without controversy. Every day, the EOS Network Foundation is gaining more recognition, but I am not here to win hearts and minds. My role is to fill the leadership void. I am a person who may be future-oriented, outgoing, and opinionated, but I will never be indecisive. I believe that through my leadership the EOS ecosystem will flourish again.

At the end of my speech, I hope everyone can remember: today will be the starting point for all the creations of EOS in the future. We no longer have any excuses, no obstacles, we are ready for everything. The future of EOS is the future we create for it.

thank you all.
