Uruguay Wants Crypto-Inclusive Policies To Help The Country’s Economy

Senator Juan Sartori of Uruguay has introduced a bill to enable businesses to accept Crypto as a form of payment and legislate the use of Crypto in the South American country.

The purpose of this legislation is to legalize Crypto as a means of payment and to accept it as currency, thus providing security for the production and trading of Crypto。”

Unlike El Salvador's Bitcoin bill, which only adopted BTC as legal tender, the bill mentions Bitcoin as an introductory concept to illustrate the start of a new "digital currency" and the formation of an "Internet of Value" .

In fact,

In fact,Crypto remains an advantaged product with a total market cap that is only a fraction of the traditional market. But despite this, things may change in the near future.

With this in mind, Sartori went on to point out that the purpose of the bill is to create clear laws in anticipation of a future where Crypto becomes mainstream.

It can be said,

It can be said,To get ahead of the crypto revolution, Uruguay needs to pursue crypto-inclusive policies to help the country’s economy

He said,

He said,"In short,

In short,This is a big step for the state towards the crypto industry, and if passed, the bill would require crypto entities to have licenses within the three-tier system

After El Salvador launched its pro-Bitcoin initiative in June, representatives of some Latin American countries expressed interest in following suit.

But in most cases, these attempts have proven to be unsuccessful. For example, the Paraguay Bitcoin Bill spearheaded by Paraguayan Vice President Carlos Rejala is more for tax regulatory purposes. Furthermore, the lawmakers explicitly denied Crypto’s legal tender status in closing the lawsuit.

“Digital assets are not legal tender used by the country of Paraguay and are not backed by the Central Bank of Paraguay.”

Furthermore, despite the best efforts of Mexican Senator Indira Kempis Martínez, the country’s central bank subsequently reiterated their warnings about the inherent risks of Crypto.
