According to previous media reports, the repurchase funds of US$2.52 million came from the NFT of Andy Warhol's "Three Self-Portraits" previously sold on BinanceNFT MarketPlace. On June 27, the work was sold by an anonymous buyer at a price of 2.8 million BUSD (approximately 2.8 million U.S. dollars). After deducting 10% transaction fees, APENFT’s final income was 2.52 million BUSD (approximately 2.52 million US dollars). Subsequently, APENFT's official Twitter tweeted that it intends to use all the funds to repurchase NFT and destroy them. On July 7th, the APENFT Foundation launched a relevant community vote on its official website, and the proposal was finally passed on July 10th.
