Container concept in Dfinity
Containers in Dfinity are very important, similar to smart contracts on blockchain public chain platforms such as Ethereum, and applications on the traditional Internet, containers run in dedicated hypervisors and interact with other containers through public specified APIs .
The container contains the bytecode that can run on the virtual machine and the memory data page running in it, so that developers can easily interact with the API, which reduces the difficulty of development.
In order to prove that developers can build all applications on it, the Dfinity Foundation developed an application similar to Douyin, CanCan, with less than a thousand lines of code.
This is more difficult than DeFi on Ethereum, because short video applications are receiving massive amounts of data uploaded by C-end users all the time, and they also need to process these data at any time to allow smooth video playback and free user interaction.
At present, only traditional cloud service providers can realize it, but Dfinity, as a decentralized framework, can realize Douyin-like applications, which is really exciting.
Dfinity's economic model
