1. Three new geyser incentives for AMPL

On October 17, AMPL officially released the Beehive V3 incentive, which includes 3 new geyser incentives.

The 3 new geysers are as follows:

1) Uniswap: Support AMPL/ETH, those who provide liquidity can get AMPL rewards;

2) Balancer: Support AMPL/USDC, those who provide liquidity can get AMPL+ BAL rewards;

3) Sushiswap: Only AMPL/ETH is supported. Those who provide liquidity can get AMPL+ sushi rewards.

Information about Geyser Rewards:

1) The official launch time is: this week (the week when this article is published);

2) Total reward pool: 3.9 million AMPL;

3) 3x multiplier: 30 days (instead of 60 days).

AMPL geyser incentives were released on Uniswap for the first two times, and an incentive attempt was made on moonswap in the middle.

1) The incentive effect on moonswap is not obvious, which may be the reason why there are few users on moonswap;

2) The previous mining of sushiswap brought a highlight moment to ampl. Although sushiswap did not have as many users as uniswap, the transaction volume and lock-up volume increased after UNISWAP stopped mining. At the same time, sushi tokens can also be obtained on sushiswap. It should be to expand the territory of ampl;

3) On the balancer, ampl's smart pool is deployed on the balancer to solve the problem of free loss. It has been running for a while, and it may be hoped that this geyser incentive will bring something different.

2. The stimulating effect of geysers on AMPL

Starting in June 2020, AMPL launched the first geysers on Uniswap.

Geyser is an important part of the liquidity pillar of AMPL's long-term roadmap for elastic finance, providing active communities with a wide range of liquidity mining rewards, and plans to do so for ten years.

AMPL's motivation for starting the Geyser project is twofold:

3. The third geyser reward has been accelerated compared to the previous two

Here are the rewards for these three geysers:

Beehive 1.0, launched on June 24, the number of AMPL rewards is 2.6 million AMPL, the duration is 3 months, and the reward will be tripled after 2 months;

Beehive 2.0, launched on September 10, the number of AMPL rewards is 2.6 million AMPL, the duration is 3 months, and the reward will be tripled after 2 months;

Beehive 3.0, launched this week, the number of AMPL rewards is 3.9 million AMPL, the duration is 3 months, and the reward will be tripled after 1 month.

Therefore, in terms of the number of rewards, the reward for the third geyser has increased by 50% on the original basis, and the amplification effect of the reward has changed from 2 months to 1 month, and the incentives in the early stage have been strengthened.

It can be seen that AMPL intends to amplify the incentives in the first month, that is, to stimulate more people to participate in the early stage; at the same time, the market value of AMPL has been much larger than that of the first reward, and the number of rewards has also increased by 50%.
