Its community leader CSW (Craig S. Wright) is regarded by the outside world as a liar pretending to be Satoshi Nakamoto; in the eyes of community members, he is Satoshi Nakamoto himself. Haters think CSW is full of big talk and nonsense; supporters think he is knowledgeable but socially awkward.
Most public chains pursue extreme decentralization, free access, and strong anonymity, while BSV emphasizes non-anonymity, acceptance of supervision, and large blocks (meaning extremely high requirements for node bandwidth and other configurations).
Even though there are many controversies in the outside world, BSV supporters still have firm beliefs. Once the price of many small currencies plummets, the community is full of criticism, while BSV has a community atmosphere that other projects dream of: enter the group to learn first, only talk about technology and implementation, not currency prices and making money. The market value is firmly in the top ten, and the currency price is often inexplicably raised or lowered by dozens of points, but it does not affect the fans' determination.
Being able to laugh at the situation may be because of the experience of the storm. In the BSV community, there are many early Bitcoin investors. They finally turned from BTC to BSV, and walked through the diversion and disputes of the Bitcoin community. For example, BSVer Lin Zheming: "I have achieved wealth freedom, and now I am just fighting for my ideals." He believes that wealth freedom is not as difficult as imagined, as long as the vast majority of assets are coins (get rid of fiat currency inflation), the desire is low enough.
"Craig is Satoshi Nakamoto." At the BSV Korean Community Conference, Odaily met a local businessman who claimed to have spent hundreds of hours reading all the books and materials about CSW.
It is the norm for BSVer to be rich and poor. A university blockchain lecturer in Chicago said he believed CSW was Satoshi Nakamoto because "his views on bitcoin turned out to be right," citing a seminar where Craig Wright gave an example. The Internet said that Bitcoin is Turing complete, but Nick Szabo, a scholar who was suspected of being Satoshi Nakamoto at the time, thought it was not. "When you study the code of Bitcoin carefully, you will find that Bitcoin was indeed Turing complete at first, but it was changed later."
The above are just sporadic fragments of BSVer, and this community is still vague in the eyes of outsiders.
But whether BSV is a religious gathering, a value depression, or an amazing scam, it is difficult to ignore.
Recently, Odaily interviewed several BSVers in the Chinese community, why they think BSV is the future, and how much they believe that CSW is Satoshi Nakamoto, hoping to present one or two.

Bitcoin needs to be an interstellar currency
Odaily: How did you get involved in the BSV community?
Aus.Liu:I'm Aus.Liu, or Monkeylord; I'm an information security practitioner, and I'm also a technical idealist from a certain perspective. So I paid attention to Bitcoin from a very early age, because I believe it is a technology that changes the world.
But just like all kinds of idealism are hit by reality, when you see that BTC has been around for ten years, and nothing has changed except for a group of rich people, you are very disappointed.
So when I saw BCH, I felt beautiful, but the so-called love at first sight, and then decline, three exhausted. Soon you find out that Amaury (Bitcoin ABC lead developer of the BCH development team) is keen to mess around, Roger (one of the BCH community leaders) is single-mindedly anti-government, and Bitmain is firmly in control. Together, they hijacked the direction of BCH.
In fact, I have no objection to them trying some new technologies. Some of their technical ideas are very interesting, but they cannot modify the consensus to make it easier to realize their own ideas. This hinders other people's creation and proves that BCH is their home. Open, which once again disappointed the technical idealists.
Only BSV in Bitcoin is a paradise for technical idealists. It will not restrict you, and you can try your ideas. The possibilities in it are unconstrained, but they can withstand careful consideration. Compared with BCH's semi-annual consensus change and BTC's various restrictions, BSV has not added anything new to the consensus. It is just constantly removing the previous restrictions, releasing the original potential of Bitcoin, and giving technical idealists a chance to play. space, and this space becomes the blockchain technology itself as the agreement is finally completed and returned to set in stone.
Odaily: Why do you believe that BSV is the future? (Some investors believe that the blueprint envisioned by BSV is likely to still be large companies and government agencies in control of the "global ledger", which is almost the same as today's world. What do you think of this view?)
Aus.Liu:From a certain point of view, Bitcoin represents freedom, which is its charm. Freedom never means equality, and many people don't understand this, especially the BTC cores of anarchic cryptography.
I do not deny at all that BSV will still be led by large companies and government agencies in the end, but the core key is that this is not an administrative monopoly caused by privileges, but a freely formed topological structure with the highest efficiency. The difference between administrative monopoly and natural monopoly , Those who understand will naturally understand.
BSV's freedom and agreement set in stone means that if you see these big institutions are unhappy, you can replace them by yourself. No one in the BSV world can stop you from dragging them into the competition. In this, it is even possible to realize the market competition of ideal public services without political capital, because you cannot prevent users from voting with their feet.
This is the core difference between the BSV world and the current world.
Odaily: Do you believe that CSW is Satoshi Nakamoto?
Aus.Liu:In fact, I don't pay much attention to the identity of CSW. I pay more attention to his understanding of Bitcoin.
Many people follow his Twitter and see his jerk side, but BSVer pays more attention to his articles, which are very technical. If we think Satoshi Nakamoto is the one who understands Bitcoin best, then CSW certainly is.
However, the disadvantage of CSW is also very obvious, that is, this person does not write the code himself, and talks a lot, and in the end we have to write the code. For example, the threshold signature he proposed, after explaining the principle, said that he would release the SDK, but it was still difficult to deliver after more than a year, and it was finally written by Wang Fuqiang. So, you can't look forward to CSW, and if you look forward to it, it's easy to skip tickets. The correct approach is that you have thought through the techniques he said in depth, and then rolled up your sleeves to do it yourself.
Another shortcoming of his is that his speech is more extreme, which will make him many enemies. Sometimes you will think Stop! Hurry up, stop talking, change to Jimmy, come on, hurry up, change to Jimmy (CEO of Bitcoin Association, the official BSV foundation).
But on these shortcomings, I am more convinced that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, or at least a member of Satoshi Nakamoto's team. Because a person's talent has a direction, no one is perfect, the perfect is a person, and the imperfect is a person.
Odaily: How do you feel about the BSV community atmosphere? The BSV community is very united/exclusive, are you worried that this will affect BSVer being understood by more people?
Aus.Liu:The BSV community is often learning collectively, such as what a certain technology is and how to implement it. Which original concept is wrong, what should be correct; or what new possibilities Bitcoin has discovered.
We talked about many things together, even including how Bitcoin will continue to be used after humans colonize Mars, which requires the ability to utilize IP2IP Transaction and transaction channels at the same time. People outside may think that we are thinking too far, like dreaming, but we are really discussing these things seriously. If Bitcoin cannot become an interstellar currency, it means that its lifespan is likely to be only a few decades.
In this environment, you can understand that people are relatively indifferent to speculators, especially when you find that the cognitive gap between newcomers is still relatively large. It may be difficult for new users or investors to understand the feeling of "I have money and influence, so I am welcome everywhere".
Objectively speaking, this is really not very good for publicity. We have also discussed this issue in depth, and finally everyone concluded that maintaining the purity of the backbone group is more important than uniting external forces. Currency speculation is people's freedom, we have no objection, interested people can open their own groups to discuss.

Dr. Craig is a humble, well-mannered man
Odaily: Can you briefly introduce yourself?
Xiaofeng:I am now mainly engaged in mining and cloud computing services, and I am also exploring Bitcoin application development.
I was first attracted to Bitcoin in 2011 when I saw something about Bitcoin on an internal forum.
Odaily: How to participate in the BSV community? Have you ever been a supporter of Bitcoin or BCH? Why are they not supported in the end?
Xiaofeng:Yes, because at the time BCH represented the route for big blocks.
But it became clear later that Bitmain just wanted to fork a chain that it could control. Wu Jihan proposed to force miners to pump water, modify the block generation time, limit the block size to 32M, and develop the wormhole protocol. The purpose of the wormhole protocol is to move the function of issuing coins from Ethereum to BCH. These so-called "applications" all run on BCH, and the ultimate goal is to sell more mining machines.
At the same time, I think that within Bitmain, the person in charge of the R&D department does not understand the economic model in Bitcoin. From the perspective of technology research and development, he is very envious of the development ecology on Ethereum, but he does not study the original design of Bitcoin in depth. Therefore, Wu Jihan provided the wrong technical decision.
Odaily: Why do you believe that BSV is the future? (Some investors believe that the blueprint envisioned by BSV is likely to still be large companies and government agencies in control of the "global ledger", which is almost the same as today's world. What do you think?)
Xiaofeng:Decentralization is neither the end nor the means of Bitcoin. The word Decentralization does not appear once in the Bitcoin white paper. The emergence of Bitcoin is not to eliminate the government or large companies, but to make everything traceable and auditable afterwards. In this way, the cost of doing evil by large companies and the government will increase, and the motivation will decrease. So the whole society is more honest (Honest, this word appears 16 times in the white paper).
Dr. Craig has written many articles and given many speeches to explain the design and prospects of Bitcoin. But most people turn a blind eye. But this is the reason why we recognize Dr. Craig's technical route and hope to promote the construction of BSV.
Odaily: What's your opinion on CSW (admiration, respect, worship, indifference...)? Do you believe that CSW is Satoshi Nakamoto? Some of CSW's remarks are "extreme", which has attracted many people's dislike. What do you think of this?
Xiaofeng:Admiration, respect, adoration, all these words are not enough to describe how I feel about him.
Many people hate CSW very much because they think he is "extreme" and "arrogant", but if you have watched all his videos, you will definitely not think so. I have also had personal contact with Dr. Craig and he is a very humble and courteous man.
CSW once used the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto to design and create Bitcoin with the intention of reducing crime and creating a more honest society. But it was brought into the ditch by people with ulterior motives, making Bitcoin a tool for money laundering, drug dealing, and human trafficking in the black market.
If you understand this, you can also understand his anger.
I don't believe it is important whether Craig is Satoshi Nakamoto, and there is no sufficient evidence to prove that he is Satoshi Nakamoto, and he will most likely not publicly use private key signatures to prove himself (even if he signed Nor does it prove that having the keys to a house does not prove that you own it). Go read his articles, watch his speech videos, study his patents, gather a team, form a company, and do blockchain applications. These are the important things.
Odaily: Do you speak frequently in the skeleton group or other BSV communities?

We support Earn & Use, not Buy & Hold
Odaily: Briefly introduce yourself?
Feng Xinyu:I am a serial entrepreneur with 20 years of experience in the IT industry and have founded several companies. I started to pay attention to Bitcoin in 2014, and tried to build an industry public chain in 2018; but after I thoroughly figured out Bitcoin (SV), I realized that Bitcoin (SV) will definitely have a huge impact on society and in When there was a huge business opportunity in it, I immediately decided to withdraw from the previous AI company and devote myself to a new venture in the field of Bitcoin (SV).
The new company was established in August this year, and now has more than 10 developers, and is now mainly engaged in the payment project ShowPay and the C2C task platform ShowJob.
Odaily: Why do you believe that BSV is the future?
Feng Xinyu:I am a supporter of the original vision version of Bitcoin. The Bitcoin we are talking about now actually has three branches, namely BTC, BCH and BSV. These three Bitcoin branches are actually of equal origin, but they represent different development concepts.
After 2017, BTC began to add functions such as segregated witness and lightning network, which made it lose the traceability and regulatory characteristics of Bitcoin. Since it has been unwilling to expand, only maintaining a block size of 1M is also doomed to low performance and It cannot land, so now BTC is only targeting digital gold.
In fact, the goal of BCH and BSV is to use Bitcoin, but the newly introduced Schnorr signature of BCH also destroys the traceability of Bitcoin, and the introduction of CTOR sorting also completely makes it impossible for TB-level large blocks, so the goal of BCH Also just become world cash.
The difference between BSV and the previous two is that BSV follows the original design of Satoshi Nakamoto's white paper and the stable protocol of Bitcoin, realizes the original vision of large-scale chain expansion, and aims to become a global point-to-point electronic cash and value data transmission network.
Why does BSV look more "radical"? Because the goal of BSV is not to become digital gold, nor just to become the world's cash, but to become the world's only public ledger, which incorporates all commercial activities and all social behavior data in the world into a traceable, non-tamperable, go-to In a centralized, regulatory-compliant global unique ledger.
Odaily: Has BSV made you money?
Feng Xinyu:I don't own Bitcoin (SV) to sell at a high price, so I don't care about the price of fiat currency in a few years. In fact, most real BSVers think that Bitcoin (SV) is "money", so what I value more is whether we have the ability to earn BSV.
This is also the reason why I want to start a Bitcoin (SV) related business, because I hope to earn Bitcoin (SV) by building on Bitcoin (SV). Under the new paradigm, the economic model of Bitcoin (SV) is "Earn & Use" instead of "Buy & Hold". Fortunately, the new projects we have started have the ability to earn Bitcoin (SV) income.
Odaily: What is your opinion on CSW? Do you believe that CSW is Satoshi Nakamoto?
Feng Xinyu:My take on CSW is that he's a living legend of our time, showing what it's possible to be human. Of course, I mean that he is not perfect, just like us, there are so-called "problems" such as being easily angry, often talking, impatient with stupid people, etc. But that's the truth instead.
I believe that CSW is 99.9% Satoshi Nakamoto, and the remaining 0.1% will be judged by the judge next year as Satoshi Nakamoto. In addition, according to multiple sources, both Dave Kleiman and David Rees participated in the early days of Bitcoin creation, but these two were only assistants.
Why do I believe so? In fact, there is no need for beliefs, wisdom roots, etc. There are a lot of information about Craig on the Internet. Let me list them:
1. Craig has shown Satoshi Nakamoto's private key to at least 10 people. Among them are celebrities who have no interest in him and who have publicly published that they have seen Craig's private keys and other evidence. These people include Gavin Andresen, Jon Matonis, Ian Grigg, and more.
These three people are all globally recognized technical experts or bitcoin technology gods, and they have more relevant professional knowledge and the ability to identify true and false than 99.9% of the people.
2. Craig's analysis of Bitcoin is the most accurate. For example, why Bitcoin is Turing complete, why Bitcoin zero-confirmation payment is feasible, what is an SPV wallet, why there are 21 million Bitcoins, etc., he was the first to put forward a reasonable analysis, even if some of his Some claims were not considered possible at first, but in the end it was verified that he was right.
3. He is an extremely diligent scholar. He has published hundreds of professional articles in the past three years, covering Bitcoin, blockchain, mathematics, economics, law and other fields. These articles can be found on his official website craigwright.net. And in the name of nChain, he has applied for more than 1,000 global patents in the past two years, with an average of several patents/papers produced every week. If you are willing to spend a few days reading some of his articles, you will definitely come to the conclusion that the depth and breadth of Craig's knowledge is amazing, and it has surpassed the profound knowledge shown by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008.
Of course, there are many small details, such as the "Satoshi Ladder", the certificate for Bitcoin.org registration, and so on. It is impossible to falsify the above content and a series of details at the same time, and it is impossible for a person to pretend to be a person with a level of knowledge.
In the real world, to prove that A is B depends on a chain of evidence composed of a series of facts, rather than relying on a single evidence (such as a public signature, etc.), let alone relying on code is law. Now these publicly available and mutually verifiable evidence chains are enough to prove that Craig is Satoshi Nakamoto. These materials have always been there, but some people have always turned a blind eye to them, preferring to follow what others say. In many cases, it is not difficult to discover the truth, what is difficult is to get rid of the arrogance and prejudice in the "ego".

When the halving comes, miners need at least 625MB blocks
Odaily: Why do you believe that BSV is the future?
Gosling:I am a supporter of Bitcoin Unlimited, but in 2018 I realized the significance of substantial expansion earlier than my friends in ABC, and I understood why the protocol should be stable earlier than those who stayed in BU. Satoshi Vision's line was already very clear when the debate began in June, and the choice was not complicated.
Bitcoin relies on the economic system to maintain security, and the cost of tampering with the blockchain is the monetary cost invested by the miners at that time. When the block reward is halved, if the price of Bitcoin’s legal currency remains unchanged and the handling fee remains 1sat/byte, miners need at least 625MB of block usage to maintain the current cash flow. On the other hand, what is "decentralization"? Decentralization requires a long-lasting agreement. Only in this way can nodes freely join or temporarily leave the blockchain network. On these two points, only BSV is working hard and emerging. Satoshi Vision is the "Satoshi Nakamoto Vision". I wish everyone can understand this vision as soon as possible.
Due to mining and halving, Bitcoin is anti-hype in nature, if there is no actual use, the system will die. There is no question of "is it the future" in the Bitcoin blockchain, but only Satoshi Vision "can survive", and those who survive have a future.
Odaily: How much do you believe (0-100%) that CSW is Satoshi Nakamoto?
Gosling:This is probably the least meaningful question in this interview.
Dr. Craig = Satoshi Nakamoto, no need to qualify with possibility.
I want to share with you a little bit of my experience: There are many people who like to call people stupid on the Internet, but after scolding you severely, they can explain the reasons earnestly, except for your father.
I have seen a person who has a very similar temperament to CSW. He especially loves to call netizens stupid X. He is also extremely knowledgeable and diligent. He updates his blog at a rate of 2 days or even 1 day for two or three consecutive years. Every article is dry. . So when I saw CSW's Twitter, I felt full of déjà vu. With the update of the CSW blog, his introduction to the design principles of Bitcoin has gradually become systematic. You can think about it the other way around, how much knowledge is needed to design Bitcoin, and then who really understands this knowledge? The answer is there.
I wrote an article explaining how this is happening.
The great pain the designers have endured in this process, as well as the endless slander from the outside world, think of Zhan Tianyou, who was pointed at and scolded by the Empress Dowager Cixi for destroying the dragon's veins, and it is the same today.
For new personal enthusiasts, I suggest that you "read the original work, learn the original text, and understand the principles". I have compiled a short and key material list and shared it with you.
