Dear leaders, distinguished guests, today I am honored to be on stage as a representative to share with you. I am happy and complicated on stage today. The reason for my happiness should be Shanghai, which is my favorite place to go. The place, because there are so many gourmet restaurants in Shanghai, you can experience it every time you come. In addition, I am also a fan of the two-dimensional culture, so I am very happy to come to Shanghai. The complication is that standing on the stage today, I suddenly understood that on November 2, the School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University established a digital economy research center, which was sponsored by Bitmain. At that time, I also joked that as a Peking University It is very strange that many students came to Tsinghua University to sponsor.
Let me introduce to you what we do. 36Kr was established in 2011. It is the 36th in the periodic table, so we use the brand of 36Kr. Through about seven years of development, we have developed media business, digital business, joint office, and financial business. So everyone will find that it is related to 36 krypton.
These are some of our little market positions.
In the media business, we can proudly say that we have the greatest influence in technology media. In the world, we now have more than 600,000 companies on our platform, and there are even two or three people who have not yet established a company. He will also go to 36 Krypton to submit the project to the entrepreneurial group. Krypton Space is our fastest-growing business, and the last one is financial business. Financial business means that we have an Internet platform, and we have invested in about 60 companies on this platform. In terms of the background of our shareholders, including China Merchants, Ant Financial, etc. In addition, during the period of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, leaders from Beijing came to our company for research and visits.
Globalization opportunities and challenges in the era of blockchain, this is a topic I want to share, this topic may sound more advanced, we made the declaration at the time to say that there will be opportunities and challenges of globalization in the era of blockchain. Let me share with you a picture first.
In this picture, you can see China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Silicon Valley in the United States, the United Kingdom, and India. 36 Krypton has been developing for 7 years, and the current progress plus the number of outlets opened in China, Hong Kong, China, and six other countries, the speed is basically similar to 36Kr. That is to say, it only took 7 months to complete 7 years of work, and some other countries are also in our research.
Why is there such a thing?I just mentioned the opportunities and challenges of globalization. We believe that in one sentence, the current global digital economic system with blockchain as the consensus mechanism is gradually improving and forming. This may sound like an empty concept, but in fact I think it is based on three foundations.
The first is digital consensus.Why are blockchain companies developing so fast? Whether it is a developed country or a non-developed country in the world, it can attract the attention of the government and the people at the same time. We think the first and most core thing is to form a digital consensus, because everyone knows that the biggest difference between races and countries is the difference in culture and language. You will find that Chinese entrepreneurs used 36 Krypton to look at American entrepreneurs in their early years. Sometimes, although there are references, they are not exactly the same. For example, when a Chinese financial company is listed on NASDAQ, compared with its domestic situation and its development, compared with the U.S. capital market, it is difficult to attract China's attention. Our national conditions are not the same. The local The institution we don't quite know what it's doing and what its value is. The digital consensus itself is based on Arabic numerals. You will find that no matter in developed countries or non-developed countries, everyone still uses Arabic numerals to keep accounts, so digital consensus is the easiest consensus to reach.
The second is the investment and financing consensus.This was very unimaginable in the past. As a Chinese company or an American company, there are many bottlenecks in cross-regional financing. Through the financing of everyone's digital consensus, there is no need for high intermediary fees and transaction costs. Investment methods It is also very convenient, does not require too many formalities, and in a sense, it is indeed regulated.
The third is governance consensus. A prerequisite for the prosperity of the blockchain era is the need to create a governance consensus. I think the governance consensus will be globalized in the future. These excellent blockchain companies should be subject to joint supervision by multinational governments. If you want to be in several countries at the same time When raising funds or running a business, you may have a standard and need to meet regulatory requirements at the same time, which may be a relatively big challenge.
What are we going to do? The picture below shows some of the core businesses we want to do in Shanghai in the future, including media business, data business and financial business。
Looking at this picture is more complicated, the key is to provide core services for entrepreneurs, all the content written on it, all the things done are around the start-up company to serve. At this stage, from the perspective of our media, companies that are still willing to start blockchain businesses in this environment are mostly technology-based on the one hand, and compliance on the other.
We have four core businesses: the first is the media business,We will do our job well, and we will also hold some activities.
The second is the incubation business,We will combine Krypton Space to do some co-working, and use our media plus financial business and investment business to support start-up companies. When providing services, our characteristic is that we neither charge office fees nor require investment in invested companies. The only requirement is that the quality and direction of the project meet our standards, and the quality of the project comes first.
The third block is the data business,We will first do some research institute business and do some industry research. Among them, we have selected three directions. The most direct one is the industry standard alliance. Three of them have potential. Money laundering is a very important part of it. The other is the application of asset chaining, serving the real economy or small and micro enterprises. We believe that asset chaining is particularly important, and the last one is the standard of trust.
The fourth block is financial business,To put it more directly, it is actually an investment business, and it is mainly angel investment. We are witnesses of China's era of mass entrepreneurship and innovation, and we are firmly optimistic about the development of the entire future environment of mass entrepreneurship and innovation in the next few years. We have great opportunities. But looking at it from another perspective, entrepreneurship has become a normal choice, just like looking for a job now. When we go to some colleges and universities to do research, how many college students who are about to graduate consider starting a business? Raise your hand The proportion of more than 80%. In a sense, starting a business has become a lower threshold than finding a job. I think entrepreneurship will be a basic trend. Similarly, the blockchain industry will develop rapidly in the next few years. We also firmly believe that 2019 should be a very good period in terms of early investment, so I also I am very happy to see the development of Yangpu. The government will play a very important role in the case of insufficient market funds.
The last is our invitation. After we came to the park, we realized why we chose Yangpu District to carry out emerging business. It should be said that this is our first business outside of Beijing.
Just mentioned, as a private enterprise, we will consider the market environment. At present, although governments at all levels have issued investment policies for blockchain, from the perspective of market environment and talent pool, Shanghai is still the most internationalized, with no shortage of talents, companies, and funds. Openness is very beneficial for us to develop business and recruit new talents.
In addition, it is the most professional service team. The service attitude of the base is basically similar to that of a start-up company. It is very active and open. Often at 11 or 12 o'clock in the evening, the staff will send me messages. This is a very important thing for us to land. On the one hand, I believe that they will serve us well and make them capable of doing what we should do.
The last one is very rare. At present, among the first-tier cities, Shanghai has indeed made an infinite voice in the blockchain industry, and is also actively promoting the development of this business.
Finally, we issued a proposal, hoping that everyone will come to us. As an entrepreneurial service organization, we hope to see good entrepreneurial projects in this industry.
