November 22 is Thanksgiving Day. I would like to thank the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Shanghai Science and Technology Association, Shanghai Municipal People's Government, and Yangpu District People's Government for their support and help today. I would also like to thank the small partners in the blockchain industry. We have come to today's venue. Next, let me report the recent work progress of the base.
In the past few months, I have been leading the team to work on the front line. Since Yangpu District issued an industry order on September 6, the blockchain base has launched some earth-shattering work in Shanghai. In the past two months, more than 200 enterprises from all over the country have entered our base and consulted on relevant policies of Shanghai and the government's guidance to the industry.
In May 2018, national leaders gave important recognition to the development of technology applications in the blockchain industry, so the agglomeration of our Shanghai took place. Why does Shanghai do blockchain? What are the advantages of Shanghai? Shanghai is a talent gathering center, with international talents and technical reserves in Shanghai. We have a shipping center and a financial center, all gathered in this beautiful Shanghai.
The blockchain base attracts blockchain companies and talents, but the convergence at the physical space level is not the focus of base operations. The focus of base operations is incubation, which is the part of our operation that shines.
What we have always advocated is the five in one, which five? Training is the most important, go ahead. The development of the technology industry is inseparable from the incubation of talents, so our talent training is at the forefront, not only the training of technical talents, but also the training of blockchain entrepreneurs. In terms of industry think tanks, we have achieved globalization, with talents from MIT, Fudan University, Tongji University, Jiaotong University, etc. In terms of industry communities, there are not only our associations, but also various non-governmental alliances and various other organizations. Of course, there is also the industrial fund mentioned by District Chief Zhao just now.
In the past two months, 200 enterprises have entered our base successively. Among them, I will focus on sharing two companies that moved me very much.
One is a very young entrepreneurial team, the youngest is only 18 years old. The team members of their company are still studying in the United States, and many of them are majoring in big data. They are full of fantasies and beautiful visions for the future of China, including the future of the world, and they come to our base from overseas. They said, in fact, our parents' economic conditions are very good, but we want to rely on our own hands. When we saw this assembly order in Shanghai, we thought that we would return to China to start a business after graduating from high school.
However, starting a business still needs to be down-to-earth. You can’t start a business just because the blockchain is hot in the world. Entrepreneurship is a very difficult road and requires a lot of learning. Of course, we still very much welcome this young team to return to China to establish our base.
Another one I want to share is a 75-year-old gentleman and old professor. To be honest, in terms of age, I was very worried at the beginning, and I said how could such an old man want to start a blockchain business, but I found that he was full of passion. He said that the blockchain is so good that it makes me feel very young. I have many dreams and ambitions that can be realized in the blockchain. I have my team and I am not an old man. He would write me a blockchain poem every week, which moved me very much. Is our old student here today? Are you there? I seem to see him. Thanks to this industry, I can learn a lot every day, and I can learn and grow with people who are more advanced than me.
Regarding the team of the industrial base, let me briefly introduce it.Our team comes from all walks of life. They have many years of combat experience. They didn't all learn the blockchain before, because everyone knows that the blockchain itself has only become popular in the past few years. Some of them are from the educational institutions of the military region, some are from Yang Chuang’s double-creation gene team, which has been in this industry for 20 years, some are from the financial field, and some are from the original 2014 and 2015 years. We are engaged in the blockchain technology and investment industry, so we come from families with different genes and come to this team. We come to fight and do some interesting and beautiful things. We are able to get together today, and we are very grateful to our partners. I think everyone applauds for our partners, okay?
I just mentioned the 1 billion fund. Today I met many entrepreneurs who are actually very concerned about our fund, including our CEO Da Zong who also asked me what happened to this fund. We should do equity and we should be listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board. In fact, our fund is to do the equity structure, for our small entrepreneurs, for our dreams. Money alone is not enough, the key is strategy. Money is only a service job, but it is not enough without it. Therefore, we have many traditional investment institutions participating in this fund to jointly operate the development of this area.
Our team of expert tutors, from Fudan, Tongji and other universities. Among them, Dean Deng is the deputy dean of the School of Information Technology of Fudan University. We often interact with each other, and many students often come to our base to continuously provide talents for blockchain technology. There is also Professor Ling Li, who supported our team in 2016, from entrepreneur training to technical training. Mr. Dahong Feida has also served as a mentor to our entrepreneurs. Mr. Shi, I have known you since 2015. You have always kept a low profile and supported our team. Thank you. Mr. Chai from Baidu did not come today. We still have Shen Jie, who is the chief scientist. He is very experienced in the research of the Internet of Things. Because of you, we have our base and so many outstanding students go to the blockchain. chain industry. Mr. Zhuo is not here today, and our Mr. Zeng has also served as our strategic mentor group. He is an excellent company in Yangpu District.
The base has begun to settle in, and the development of the association is inseparable from everyone's dedication to promote the growth and development of the blockchain. In fact, there is still a long way to go, and we need to go down-to-earth step by step. We have done a lot of training successively. We have done training for entrepreneurs in the global incubation base of President Shi and the office of President Da.
Future and plans, I like this key very much. At that time, I told our team that we designed such a key. What is this key for? A loop, a closed loop. Our enterprise, our industry, and our departure in Shanghai cannot be separated from talents, and the growth of our base cannot be separated from our dedicated service. The communication between people is very important. We need to keep some talent companies in our base. It’s not enough to just come. We have to like it and fall in love with our base. Therefore, our service must be a warm and precise service. We can only grow through the integration of five in one, and all parties and talents in blockchain enterprises are in a cycle. Our Shanghai becomes the source of blockchain, and let our Shanghai become the source of blockchain.
