AERGO can provide better interoperability, so there is still great potential for development.

Recently, AERGO cooperated with Blocko, a South Korean blockchain infrastructure provider, and obtained US$30 million in financing from venture capital institutions including Sequoia Capital China for technology development. Investors in this financing include Sequoia Capital China, GBIC, Neo Global Capital, Dekrypt Capital, FBG Capital, Arrington XRP Capital, OKEx Labs, JRR Crypto, Rockaway Capital, Block Crafters Capital, etc.

AERGO is an end-to-end open source platform that supports customizable blockchain DApp deployment, enabling enterprises to create distributed applications and services through this platform.

The AERGO platform is mainly composed of three parts, the AERGO public chain, the AERGO Hub and the AERGO market. The AERGO public chain uses the DPoS protocol to provide services for enterprises to build a decentralized network; AERGO Hub is AERGO's public interface to create and deploy DApp's serverless database (the cloud service provider dynamically manages the distribution of computing resources) and smart database ( Use human reasoning, imagination, and memory principles to realize storage, search, and modification of the database), which is convenient for developers to develop; the AERGO market supports peer-to-peer asset transactions. At the same time, there are AERGO tokens circulating on the platform, which are used to create smart contracts, pay for various technical services, and trade various assets in the market.

The characteristics of the AERGO project are:

Open Source: In this platform, developers and large enterprises are able to create custom blockchain applications. Programmers can write decentralized applications and smart contracts using the SQL language. The development of smart contracts using the SQL programming language is a highlight of AERGO, which is conducive to more programmers using AERGO for programming.

Cloud Computing: AERGO cooperates with Blocko, which provides technical support for AERGO and designs a blockchain cloud platform. All content is hosted in the cloud on a secure decentralized network, thus helping to reduce costs associated with physical infrastructure. At the same time, Blocko, as a Korean blockchain infrastructure provider, has rich experience in blockchain security and has also provided technical support for AERGO in terms of security.

Interoperability: Hybrid blockchain architecture that allows interoperability between public chains or public and private chains, thereby accessing the entire ecosystem. The ecology established by AERGO can connect companies in different industries, and these companies can build their own ecological DApps and consensus mechanisms on the chain. At the same time, in order to maximize interoperability with different enterprises, AERGO supports Ethereum-based smart contracts.

Large technology companies such as IBM, SAP, and Microsoft are already developing blockchain products for enterprise implementation, but in the early stages, AERGO uses the SQL programming language for smart contract development, lowering the programming threshold; while providing better interoperability , forming its own ecosystem; therefore, there is still great potential for development.

In terms of development progress, AERGO will release the test network in the fourth quarter of this year and launch the main network in 2019.

AERGO's team members are mainly from Blocko, including ten technical engineers and five other team members responsible for marketing and business development. Phil Zamani is Chairman of the AERGO Foundation and Co-CEO of Blocko. He has more than 20 years of experience in managing open source businesses. Head of Data and Cloud Models.

Founder and Chief Scientist Won Beom-Kim has more than 9 years of experience in relational database management systems, and 6 years of experience in distributed system research and development, and founded Blocko Inc in 2014. Hunyoung Park is the CTO and board member of the project, a board member of AERGO and Blocko, and has more than 15 years of advanced software development experience in high-performance databases and distributed systems.
