Everyone says I'm a liar but I'm rich

"Everyone says I'm a liar, but I'll show you, I'm a billionaire."

"We are going to crush ABC into slag, and we are also going to crush Bitmain into slag."

If what Craig Steven Wright said is true, on November 15th, BCH will usher in a battle of computing power.

Craig Steven Wright is the Australian computer scholar and businessman Craig Steven Wright (hereinafter referred to as: CSW), who has been calling himself the creator of Bitcoin in recent years - "Satoshi Nakamoto".

Since he has never taken out the private key of the Bitcoin genesis block to prove his identity, whether he is really Satoshi Nakamoto still disagrees, so he is also called "Aoben Satoshi".

But now, his time and energy are not focused on Bitcoin (BTC), but on Bitcoin Cash (BCH), which was forked from BTC last August.

BCH started from the battle of Bitcoin expansion. On August 1, 2017, Bitmain led Bitcoin-ABC, ViaBTC, BU development team and other original Bitcoin core development teams to hard fork Bitcoin. This is one of the solutions to the problem of Bitcoin expansion. This was born.

After that, BCH has successively received support from Bitcoin Jesus Roger Ver, CSW and others. According to the roadmap, the BCH community conducts a hard fork on BCH every 6 months. It completed its first hard fork in May this year. At that time, the development teams reached a consensus during the fork. No new fork coins were generated, and the block size was increased from 8M to 32M.

Jiang Jiazhi, a member of the BCH development team, once revealed that after the birth of BCH, the debate in the BTC community has not stopped. "WeChat groups, Twitter, and forums are arguing in many places." Three camps, the "radicals" headed by Bitmain; the conservatives headed by "Australian Fake Satoshi Nakamoto" CSW in the name of maintaining the original teachings of Bitcoin; and the neutrals headed by BU and Cobra.

In August of this year, CSW proposed to release a version incompatible with the development team, and launched a war of computing power to turn BCH back into real Bitcoin, and to eliminate Bitcoin ABC, which disagreed with it, with this battle. He was riddled with controversy.

In the eyes of opponents, he is a big talker and a madman with unknown motives. In Wu Jihan’s recent tweets, CSW was even accused of being a “fake Satoshi Nakamoto” in the eyes of cults, spies, and God V. But there are also supporters, "He is a technology fanatic who can't speak but is extremely sincere." Supporters say so.

In any case, the BCH hard fork is already facing a split due to the disruption of CSW.

Bitmain is a joke, I'm ready to crush it

Odaily: For this bitcoin cash hard fork, what is your team's technical proposal?

CSW: We want to maintain the idea of "Native Bitcoin", we want to make the running code work so that everyone can benefit from it, and we want to maintain Satoshi Nakamoto's vision. But others are changing Satoshi Nakamoto's vision. They always want to add various things to Bitcoin, and even be used by criminals.

Odaily: But it is difficult to completely maintain the original version. For example, I heard that BSV has also fixed some original bugs?

CSW: Yes, we just fixed some bugs without changing the protocol. The Bitcoin protocol is all about sending peer-to-peer electronic cash. Everyone is fixing bugs, it's like I have a car that I've been driving for a long time, and it's not the original car, but I can make changes on the car, such as optimizing the engine, giving it Same power as the original car.

Odaily: So the reason you are against ABC is that they started changing the "native bitcoin"?

CSW: Yeah, you have to look at why.

Odaily: But now in the community, ABC has gained some support, including Wu Jihan from Bitmain. Are you worried about this problem?

CSW (suddenly burst into laughter): Hahahaha, tell him I'm super sad. Tell Wu Jihan that what I am actually doing is far more important than worrying about this issue. Bitmain's mining equipment has increased mining efficiency by 50%, but Bitmain may be doomed now because the company may go bankrupt soon. Bitmain is a joke.

Odaily: So, are you not worried about their computing power at all?

CSW: I think they have computing power, but Bitmain is a ****.

Odaily: Some people think that the computing power possessed by BSV cannot compete with ABC. After all, you need computing power to win the war.

secondary title

Everyone says I'm a liar but I'm rich

Odaily: So, what are you going to do to achieve this? Because some people say that your competitors have already started to prepare computing power, how are you going to deal with it?

CSW: We just have money. Wu Jihan thought that he could control the computing power, and all we had was money. We will also make it impossible for cryptocurrency exchanges to trade Bitcoin Cash until Jihan Wu throws in the towel.

Bitmain holds 1 million Bitcoin Cash, and we are ready to zero them all. They have supporters, but we can put them out of business with the flip of a finger. We will also sue Wu Jihan, basically, Wu Jihan will receive a subpoena in courts all over the world, and when he finishes all the lawsuits, he will be estimated to be 85 years old and completely bankrupt. Then I will let him go.

Odaily: How can you do it?

image description

I'm a billionaire, I have a lot of money, I don't need to rely on mining to make money. Wu Jihan relies on mining to make money, he has no other sources of income, he needs to sell mining machines, he can only do this. I don't need to... I'm happy to see them burn themselves until they go to jail.

Odaily: So you have enough money to destroy Bitmain, yes?

CSW: Yes, I am a billionaire, and so is Calvin (Calvin should be Calvin Ayre, founder of Coingeek, the largest BCH mining pool, and the blockchain company Coingeek, who supported CSW's proposal in the computing power war).

Basically we don't need to make money from mining, and we don't care about mining at all, we can afford it and survive. Jihan Wu needs to mine, pay for electricity, and spend money on equipment and many other things. Not only are we making money now, but we're continuing to run a business. I'd love to see Bitmain go bust. I don't care if I win or not, but I want to see Wu Jihan disappear completely, I don't want to see Wu Jihan re-enter the cryptocurrency industry, I want him to leave completely.

Odaily: Can I ask where your money comes from?

CSW: Bitcoin! I have a lot of bitcoins.

Odaily: How much money are you going to invest? Do you have a budget?

CSW: Until I win, until they give up. I have enough money to burn until they can't attack us, until everyone can't attack us. I don't care how much money I have, I'll sell everything when I leave. I don't care about all this, I can't stand Wu Jihan, Bitmain is rubbish. This is my strategy.

Odaily: Is there anyone else supporting you, such as providing funds, or do you only use your own funds?

CSW: We have support. Honey, I'm not looking for money for the sake of money, okay? You get support because you deserve it.

Odaily: What do you want to gain from this fight?

secondary title

There is no democracy at all, we only talk about money

Odaily: Some people think that the fight between you and Wu Jihan is not good for the community, what do you think?

CSW: Screw the community. What I want is currency, what I want is global currency (I want money. I want the global money). I want Bitcoin to become a global currency. Everyone on the planet can use Bitcoin as money. I don't want any socialists. We're talking about money now, kind of boring, kind of cold, and you probably don't like that.

Odaily: Do you think the vast majority of people in the Bitcoin Cash community are socialists?

CSW: Yes. This is capitalism. I want competition, I want capitalism.

Odaily: Some people feel that what you are doing is hurting community democracy.

CSW: There is no democracy at all, we only talk about money. I just want Bitcoin to become the world currency. Has your vote changed anything? No, so there is no democracy at all, let's talk about money. Your vote, in the end, just changed some money.

Odaily: Aren't you worried that some developers in the community will turn against you?

CSW: I don't think so. Real developers only focus on how to build really useful applications for people, and the rest are a bunch of socialists. I don't want to communicate with them at all, and I won't accept them. They should leave this community and not come back. If they were subs, they would never play, and ABC would have nowhere to contribute to Bitcoin Cash.

Odaily: If some developers really develop applications for the society, then they are very important, do you care about these people?

CSW: Not for society. No one will do anything for society, all are for business. As long as you do business, someone will give you money. What you do is not for society either. Anyone who says they are doing things for society is a liar. We want them burned. (I want them burned.)

Odaily: So, if some people really want to get real applications on the blockchain...

I will not buy computing power, no need

Odaily: What exactly are you doing now? Maybe you work every day trying to win this war.

CSW: Right now I'm working on some patents, writing papers. (He later told me he was writing a light wallet).

Odaily: I heard that you are trying to buy computing power from miners?

CSW: We will pay attention to different options. Bitmain only has computing power temporarily, but we don’t want to play this kind of game with them. We see it in the long run.

Odaily: Are you ready to buy computing power?

CSW: No, we have enough computing power and don't need to buy it from miners. But if there are miners supporting us, I don't think we will pay for these "mercenaries".

Odaily: So you are not buying computing power now?

CSW: No, our own is enough.

Odaily: Where does your current computing power come from?

CSW: All over the world.

Odaily: Do you have your own mine?

CSW: Yes, we do.

Odaily: Can you tell me how much computing power you have?

CSW: Enough to win this fight.

Odaily: Miners and developers, who do you care more about?

CSW: I care more about users. What I care about is how to make the world have a better currency. We want to let 5 billion people use Bitcoin. Just wanting to make money cannot achieve this goal, just like Wu Jihan did.

Odaily: Many people think that nChain and BSV developers don’t have much development experience, so technically, you don’t have much advantage.

secondary title

i don't need to convince anyone

Odaily: Some people say you are a liar, you are a lunatic, what do you think?

CSW: I don't care. Let them down. Wu Jihan is just a child, he still needs to learn how to face big scenes.

Odaily: I read some articles attacking you, saying you are crazy, are you worried?

CSW: What should I worry about? , I remember seeing Bill Gates speak at a conference when I was a kid and someone threw a pie at him. Now, can you say people don't like Bill Gates?

Odaily: What do you think users will think of Bitcoin Cash led by you?

CSW: I'm not leading anything, I'm building a currency that the world can use. It's all about me on social media, and I don't want people to idolize me. We're all talking about money, and I don't care if people pay attention to me or even consider me a religion. I want people to be able to use a global currency.

Odaily: Did you support the hard fork of Bitcoin Cash last year?

CSW: I don't.

Odaily: Didn't you?

CSW: I want Bitcoin to expand, and I want to maintain "native Bitcoin". Last year, I planned to build a mining pool and mine. But unfortunately, Wu Jihan is behind the scenes, and he is not trustworthy. He is a liar. Originally, Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash would not be separated. It is because of him that Bitcoin Cash will fork. Because he is a greedy man.

Odaily: Bitcoin cash forked from Bitcoin last year, don't you support it?

CSW: I have always supported the "native Bitcoin", and it is also a helpless move for Bitcoin Cash to fork. When I say bitcoin, I feel like I only have one bitcoin in mind, but now it's bitcoin cash.

Odaily: It was reported that you once supported ABC’s hard fork, but later opposed it. Is this true? Why?

CSW: They no longer support native Bitcoin. We did not support ABC, we only supported the idea of native Bitcoin. We have never thought of forking Bitcoin, Wu Jihan wanted to fork, we always hope to keep a Bitcoin. Wu Jihan wants to fork because he wants to trade a lot of cryptocurrencies, he wants money, he wants to gamble.

Odaily: Some people also say that if you unify the Bitcoin Cash network, you will attack the Bitcoin network. Is it true?

CSW: Well, this has been around for a few years, so let them guess.

Odaily: So you won't attack Bitcoin?

CSW: I don't need to. There is simply nothing to attack on Bitcoin.

Odaily: To win this war, what secret weapon do you have?

CSW: I understand Bitcoin better than anyone. I think it's better to keep a low profile now. However, I think Wu Jihan needs people's support, he has been very active on social media, and he has a mining pool. We have our own computing power and mining machines. People don't like me, but I don't need to convince anyone, and we don't need media support. We can win because we have a lot of investment. Wu Jihan needs people's support, but it doesn't really work.

Odaily: Some people say that you are developing your own mining machine?

CSW: Yes, we have new mining rigs.

Odaily: Is the new mining machine designed for this war?

secondary title

"Anarchism" is not Bitcoin itself

Odaily: Can you summarize in one sentence what you expect Bitcoin Cash to look like?

CSW: "The Original Bitcoin", a global currency.

Odaily: Since you want Bitcoin Cash to become "native Bitcoin" so much, why don't you choose BTC directly, but choose BCH?

CSW: BTC is not what it used to be. It is now a "Big Coin", neither tradable nor illegal, and its transaction fees are too high. I don't care what people call it, it can be seen as a chain of digital signatures, and they remove the digital signature which means problems. Bitcoin is private, but that doesn't mean it's anonymous. We need to ensure that cryptocurrency transactions can be traced and applied in real contracts. If you want Bitcoin to be used like cash, you must follow the "rules of the game" of the current cash market.

Bitcoin should be legal worldwide, but now people are making Bitcoin more "anarchic" and illegal, which is not Bitcoin itself.

Odaily: The law is more complicated, or from a technical point of view, what kind of solution do you want? Now your plan seems to mainly hope that the block limit of BCH will be increased to 128M.
