Odaily News BlackRock, the world's largest asset management company, has invested approximately $2.7 billion in the Ethereum ecosystem through its tokenized money market fund BUIDL (USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund), which accounts for 92% of its total assets. It is reported that the fund was launched in March 2024, and its assets have grown rapidly from the initial $667 million to the current $2.7 billion. BUIDL is a tokenized money market fund that provides institutional investors with investment opportunities in liquid assets such as U.S. Treasuries and repurchase agreements. Each BUIDL token is anchored 1:1 to the U.S. dollar. In addition to Ethereum, BlackRock has also expanded BUIDL to seven blockchain networks including Solana, Aptos, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism and Polygon to achieve better efficiency and scalability.
