Odaily News U.S. federal prosecutors have filed more than 200 victim statements in Manhattan federal court against Celsius Network founder and former CEO Alex Mashinsky. The statements detail the financial losses and life impacts of the Celsius crash on users. Mashinsky pleaded guilty in December 2023 to one count of commodities fraud and one count of securities fraud, which carries a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison. Most victims asked the court to impose the maximum sentence, but a few called for a lighter sentence. Mashinsky's sentencing will be announced on May 8, and his defense team requested no more than 366 days in prison. (Cointelegraph)
