Odaily News R2, the RWA stablecoin yield protocol, announced that it has completed its deployment on the Plume testnet, marking a key step in its multi-chain strategy. Plume is a high-performance Layer 1 public chain focusing on the RWA track (RWAFi), dedicated to providing infrastructure support for real assets on the chain. Since the testnet was launched 5 days ago, the R2 protocol has attracted more than 55,000 users worldwide to participate in the interaction. Users can receive test tokens through Discord, experience functions such as minting R2USD, staking R2USD, BTC, ETH, and receive points rewards. Officials said that R2 will access more test networks in the near future, continue to expand the multi-chain ecosystem, and enrich the access path of underlying assets. R2 aims to create the next generation of stablecoin protocols with real returns, redeemability and transparency. The underlying assets cover diversified sources of income such as on-chain US bonds and compliant MMF strategies. The mainnet is expected to be officially launched in the second quarter of 2025.
