Odaily News Infinite Reality, an artificial intelligence and metaverse company, announced that it has acquired the old music platform Napster for $207 million, planning to transform it into a music metaverse platform. Napster CEO Jon Vlassopulos will continue to stay in office, saying that this will push the music experience from "mobile social" to the "three-dimensional immersive" era. Napster issued a platform token on the Algorand blockchain in 2022, and this acquisition marks its further transformation into the Web3 field. (Cointelegraph)
