Bankrbot disables Grok interactions, halting AI-triggered token creation
03-13 07:47

Odaily News The Bankrbot development team has adjusted the system to prevent it from responding to Grok interactions in order to stop token creation being accidentally triggered by AI interactions.
Grok was developed by Elon Musk’s xAI, which previously inadvertently facilitated the creation of 17 tokens. The incident originated in early March when X user @coin_domin asked Grok for a suitable token name and suggested that Bankrbot create a token. Bankrbot then automatically deployed the relevant tokens and established a liquidity pool through the Clanker protocol on the Base blockchain.
As Grok frequently suggests creating new tokens, users have deployed more than 16 additional tokens using this feature, trying to profit from the “Grok brand effect.” Dune on-chain data shows that wallets associated with Grok have accumulated more than $500,000 in transaction fees, and are expected to break through the million-dollar level soon.
However, since Grok was unable to effectively manage wallet funds, Bankrbot founder “Deployer” announced that he had cut off Grok’s automatic response mechanism and would no longer allow it to trigger token deployment to prevent potential risks.
