Odaily News Jesse Pollak, head of the Base protocol, said in a recent conference call with Ethereum founders and developers that based rollups are "both flexible and powerful tools that we will be able to use for Base, tying it more closely to Ethereum and increasing the security guarantees it provides."
Optimism Foundation director Ben Jones added that based rollups will improve collaboration between Ethereum’s base layer and L2.
Several Ethereum L2 leaders also favor the deployment of “FABRIC,” an infrastructure to support blockchain-based rollups.
Additionally, native rollups will improve how transactions are executed on the base layer, making the network more composable.
Daniel Wang, CEO of Ethereum L2 Taiko, said that the protocol is willing to adopt the FABRIC standard to "solve" Ethereum's interoperability problems.
