Flare plans to launch FAssets on Songbird in December and launch the mainnet early next year

Odaily News Hugo Philion, co-founder of EVM-compatible L1 network Flare, said the project is building its DeFi ecosystem: "Flare is essentially becoming a DeFi hub," adding that it is "growing rapidly" through partnerships and integrations. According to Philion, Flare is also preparing to launch FAssets, an overcollateralized bridge for "non-smart contract tokens such as Bitcoin, XRP, and Dogecoin," on its Songbird Canary network in December, followed by a mainnet launch "early next year." According to the introduction, the network provides developers with "decentralized access to high-integrity data from other chains and the Internet," using its Flare Time Series Oracle and Flare Data Connector to provide DApps with an alternative to centralized off-chain Oracles.
