Odaily News Well-known auction house Sothebys announced on the X platform that the special edition Genesis Cat of the Bitcoin Ordinals NFT project quantum cat was sold for $254,000 (6.31 BTC). Genesis Cat was created by digital artist FAR and received more than 50 bids. According to previous news on January 13, Taproot Wizards, the developer of Ordinals, is launching a series of NFTs called Quantum Cats on the Bitcoin blockchain, aiming to pay tribute to the early code developed by Satoshi Nakamoto, the founder of the Bitcoin network. , because OP_CAT is an ancient opcode in Bitcoin, introduced by Satoshi Nakamoto in the first version, but later disabled. It is reported that the NFT collection consists of 3,333 cat images and cost 66,000 to create USD and uses 10MB of encrypted on-chain data.
