Bitcoin Core Developer: Inscription is exploiting a vulnerability in Bitcoin Core to spam the blockchain
2023-12-06 02:01
Odaily News Bitcoin Core developer Luke Dashjr posted on the Additional data size limit when relaying or mining transactions. Inscription circumvents this limit by obscuring its data into program code. This vulnerability was recently fixed in Bitcoin Knots V25.1. Thanks to my work late last year The process was severely disrupted (V24 was skipped entirely) and the fix took longer than usual. There is still a vulnerability in Bitcoin Core in the upcoming V26 release. I can only hope that it will be finally fixed before V27 next year.”
