Odaily News Binance was accused by the United States of violating sanctions and remittance laws and agreed to pay $4.3 billion to settle the charges, according to a court document released on Tuesday. Under the terms of its plea agreement, Binance will appoint an independent compliance monitor for three years and report to the U.S. government on its compliance procedures, as well as pay a fine. CZ is prohibited from “currently or in the future participating in the operation or management of Binance,” although this ban will end three years after the appointment of the regulator.
