Coinbase Director: Alameda once minted 39.55 billion USDT, which is higher than its asset management scale

Odaily News Conor Grogan, director of Coinbase, posted on the X platform that on-chain data shows that Alameda has minted 39.55 billion USDT, accounting for 47% of the current circulating supply of USDT. A previous report by Protoss estimated this number at approximately $36.7 billion, and Conor Grogan updated the data by adding some new wallets. According to data provided by SBF, the amount of USDT minted by Alameda exceeds its assets under management at the peak of the cryptocurrency market. But obtaining information about redemptions is difficult, in part because Tether appears to coordinate the destruction off-chain.
