Judge: Motion to postpone SBF trial must be filed before September 1
2023-08-31 04:23
Odaily News According to the news published by Inner City Press in X, the lawyer representing SBF did not ask to change the trial date to prepare for the trial, but the federal judge provided a limited window period. Judge Lewis Kaplan said if the defense wanted more time to review, they could ask for a delay in the start of the trial, although there was no guarantee such a motion would be granted. However, these must be completed by September 1, when the jury selection process will begin. SBF faces 12 criminal charges, which will be tried on October 2, 2023 and March 11, 2024. SBF has pleaded not guilty to all charges. (Cointelegraph)
