Odaily News: The UK House of Lords has passed the Online Safety Bill, which will apply to the metaverse and is now approaching the final approval stage before becoming law. British lawmakers believe it is essential to ensure that the Online Safety Bill applies to the metaverse due to the potential harm children might face in virtual reality experiences. Stephen Parkinson, Minister for Culture, Media, and Sport in the UK, stated that the bill applies to "anything communicated through internet services," including objects or virtual avatars created by users and interactions between users in the metaverse.
